When you walk into Spice Temple you think wow this is going to be good. We sat down the service was great and there was plenty of Nobs around us who haven’t used chop sticks before (a bad sign). Overall the food was a good attempted at trying to do something different with Chinese cuisine but it was lacking the refinement that I was expecting. Some ridiculous reviews are on the website “best Chinese restaurant in Melbourne” with the decor and feel it could be but with the food they serve at the moment that comment is far from the truth. If you want great Chinese food with budget decor try the back alleys of China Town and Box Hill if you want the opposite go to Spice Temple.
4.5/10 Boiled Potatoes Advice: Go there if you win big at Crown and feel like throwing away your money or rich and never been to China Town.
